Development First

Our many of our local and international coaches come from very competitive backgrounds including the participation in some of the most well-known professional leagues around the world. They were trained to compete to compete and win! As ODFC coaches this trait continues to be present but they understand that they are educators first.

At ODFC, the growth and development of our players is our primary focus and objective. We avoid the mistake of thinking that the game is about “us” and focus on our players. We are committed to bringing out the best in our players; “win, lose or draw”.

Skills and Character Traits

Regardless of game results, these final scores provide our ODFC staff an opportunity to “teach”, develop self-confidence, discipline and sportsmanship. We see character traits as a fundamental component in a player’s growth and development.

Goal Setting

ODFC coaches focus on performance rather than outcome. We strive to set standards of continuous learning and the development of the "total" or complete player. We encourage and inspire athletes as we work to create a strong partnership between players and ourselves.

Love and Respect the Game

Our professional coaches feel a strong obligation and commitment to the game we teach. They all love the game for what it has meant to them personally and to the thousands of players they’ve impacted. ODFC coaches strive to instill in every one of our players a healthy respect towards teammates, opponents and the game.
