As ODFC Directors and Coaches work towards preparing for team tryouts in early May they fully understand the nervousness and anxiety all our players and families experience during this team-building process. We are fully committed to instilling in each and every player confidence in their abilities and a concept of self-worth that transcends beyond the playing field. We see parents playing a vital role (in these and any evaluations) as they provide clarification and support to their child while allowing our coaches to make critical roster decisions.

We take pride in the fact that our evaluation process has always be honest and fair with the end result being the placement of a player’s where he/she will fully develop their potential.  We strive to keep lines of communication constantly open so each and every player can receive positive reinforcement and constructive feedback throughout the entire tryout process.

Player evaluations and team selections are part of every club “life cycle” around the globe. They serve the purpose of strengthening and re-energizing teams as they look ahead to their league season.
