ODFC is proud to announce the hiring of our new Director of Player/Coach Development, Frans Aarts.

Coach Aarts is from the Netherlands where he began playing career for VV Voerendal. He has traveled throughout Europe to gain his coaching credential and experience. He was a youth development specialist at FC Standaard in Holland and at the Larochette SC in Luxembourg before becoming the Director of Youth Development at Etzella SC (Luxembourg) in 2000.

Locally Coach Aarts has worked with some of the best youth clubs in the area; FPYC (Virginia) and the Lions SC in Maryland and most recently, was affiliated with Bethesda Soccer Club. He holds a USSF “B” License and he received his Coerver Technique certification in Liege, Belgium.

Coach Aarts will take control of the ODFC Rising Talent Program (RTP) as his priority, developing the future of the club at ages U8-U10. He is an expert skills trainer and program development professional with 20+ years of experience. He will document the clubs methods of training, evaluate coaches and continue to build a strong youth system at ODFC well into the future.
