ODFC and Clark County Soccer League (CCSL) have agreed to work closely with each other in the development of their respective Pre-Travel Academies.

Both club presidents, Andy Vera (ODFC) and Ray Steen (CCSL) will focus on creating an environment lacking in player recruitment and “heavy” on education. Andy Vera had this to say after his conversation with Mr. Steen last week, “Ray (Steen) and I have taken the recruitment of players out of the equation…we will strictly focus on each club creating the strongest Pre-travel Academy teams they can and utilizing their own community players. We’re are both advocates of strong community-based clubs…our teams will play against each other seasonally in various small-sided formats.”

Mr. Steen followed up by saying. “Focusing on player skills development and positive coaching, soccer communities thrive. We're excited to partner with ODFC and to bring our communities together to make our players and coaches better."

Both ODFC and CCSL hope to slowly add like-minded members to this alliance of clubs looking to work with each other developing teams while respecting each other’s boundaries and history.  Both organizations are prepared to share resources including coaching education instructors and allocated field space in each of their home-counties.
