Exciting "New Beginning" for ODFC

Final adjustments have been made and the spring 2024 registration platform is now open!!

ODFC has taken a leap forward by embracing the highly sophisticated and versatile Playmetrics system, which comes with a multitude of data collection enhancements.

But that's not all! ODFC has also forged a partnership with Sports Office 365 to revolutionize the administrative side of the club. With ambitious plans for strong growth over the next 3-5 years, Sports Office will work hand in hand with Playmetrics to streamline registration processes and improve player-parent communications.

This exciting change will impact every aspect of the club from player/parent registration to uniform ordering and scheduling. Both Playmetrics and Sports Office 365 will collaborate seamlessly to enhance the overall administration of the club.

Andy Vera, ODFC Founder, expressed his enthusiasm for these administrative changes. He recognizes that relying on just a few individuals to handle everything is no longer sustainable for their growing club. While it may take a season or two to adjust to the new operations, Vera strongly believes it is the best course of action for the club's future. A new beginning awaits, and everyone involved is eagerly looking forward to it.

Mark your calendars! The spring program is set to run from April to early June 2024, offering even more excitement and opportunities for the ODFC community.

ODFC Soccer School Opens Fall 2023 Registration

By Kellie Barella 06/01/2023, 8:15am EDT

The ODFC Soccer School Fall 2023 registration portal is now “live”.  The “early-bird” rate will remain in effect until Monday, June 26th. Full tuition rate will be applied starting Tuesday, June 27th.

After nine (9) seasons in operation the soccer school has streamlined its structure, added highly qualified coaches/directors and has clearly defined educational objectives for all our players. The schools’ objective is to create a clear, concise and consistent pathway for players starting at the youngest age groups. The program has two highly qualified directors and 15 coaches working closely with club leadership to ensure proper development and progression of all its students.

The clubs’ directors working closely with club leadership will continue to focus on the education of both players and parents at all levels and phases of our players education. The clubs “Education First” initiative started four years ago continuous to produce positive results throughout the soccer school program. The ODFC club “culture” is one of open communication geared towards clearing up any misinformation or confusion on what young players should be learning. As educational relationships are nurtured with our players club staff witness tremendous growth at the personal and technical level.

In order to maintain strict quality control in all our programs, ODFC has decided to once again, put a cap on the number of registrants it will take for the Fall 2023 season. ODFC Club President, Andy Vera, explained, “the player cap continues to be about managing growth…we are not about being the biggest club around…never have been…we want to maintain a manageable number of teams utilizing very knowledgeable and nurturing coaches. Our max registration this spring will be 275 participants.”

ODFC To Play UPSL!

By Leslie Caputo 08/05/2022, 10:15am EDT

ODFC Cesena USA is proud to announce the creation of a “new” men’s team that will compete in the “top-tier” of the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) referred to as the Pro Premier Division. The 1st team comes with a 2nd reserve team that will play in one of our local competitive leagues and will serve as the feeder team for the UPSL top team. These teams will play year-round including league play and high-level showcase tournaments.

The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is the largest and one of the fastest growing Pro-Development Soccer leagues in the USA made up of 400+ teams. At the highest level, the UPSL will ultimately lead to a true player pathway for collegiate or professional soccer opportunities.

ODFC is now a proud member of the UPSL and WPSL which now completes the development “pathway” for both the women’s and men’s program. Both programs begin at U5 with our Piccoli Amici (Little Friends) through high school and now college age players.

Cesena USA UPSL will play their Sunday evening home fixtures at the John Champe HS Stadium providing ample opportunities for ODFC families to attend and enjoy competitive men’s soccer on a seasonal basis.

ODFC’s membership into the UPSL is a valuable component of redefining the system of soccer in the United States while simultaneously molding players for a successful future.
