In the U6/U7 Program, players will work on developing motor skills with a primary focus of skill development. Each fun-filled session will end with small games where players will be learning the idea of teamwork. Games will be in a small-sided format which is ideal for optimum learning and building of self-confidence. One hour per week training during the week with a professional trainer and a 4v4, 30-minute game on Saturday mornings. Fee includes ODFC t-shirt.  Training season starts in early-April and runs for eight weeks.  All games are played in the South Riding area or in Western Loudoun.

The U8 Youth Academy/Rising Talent Program enables players to continue developing and prepare as a team to play in our more competitive travel program. Many of these "cross-over” teams go on to play in one of our regional travel leagues (WAGS, NCSL or ODSL).

Players will continue to develop motor skills critical to proper development and begin to gain a deeper knowledge of the game. Each session will utilize small-sided games as the primary teaching tool. This will provide players the opportunity to apply what they have learned in a "game-like” environment. This format accelerates learning through repetition and promotes confidence and self esteem. U8 teams will participate in games in ODFC's Rising Talent Program. One hour per week training during the week with a professional coach and one hour per week training with a volunteer coach. 40-minute 6v6 (5 players plus goalkeeper) games on Saturdays. Fee includes ODFC uniform. Training starts in mid-September.  Games starts in mid-September and runs for six weeks. End of season soccer festival is planned for all U8s!
