Age Group Classifications Set by USSF
United States Soccer Federation - 2007

As you progress through the youth soccer landscape, you will constantly hear kids referred to as U10 or U12.  The "U" stands for Under and that is confusing since it actually means the given age and under.  For example, a U10 player means that the child is 10 years old or below. 

The USSF calender year is August 1st through July 31st.  So, referring to the example above, if a child is playing in U10 this spring, that means he/she currently IS 10 or will be turning 10 by July 31st, 2007.

O.K... now that we got that out of the way, here are the age group breakdowns for the Spring season!
